I am excited to show three pieces in the upcoming show Silence Breakers at the Ely Center for Contemporary Art. This exhibit, in collaboration with Nasty Women Connecticut (NWCT), includes art in various media addressing abuse, consent, and identity as well as themes of domesticity and home: "The show will look at the often-blurred line between security and insecurity in the home, providing room to explore ideas around gender, equity, sexuality, individuality and domestic life." Opening on International Women's Day, Thursday, March 8, 2018, Susan Dunne, reviewing the show for the Hartford Courant observes, the "art exhibit is fitting: the pieces make statements about women silenced and disregarded."
Join me for the opening on March 8, 2018 from 5 - 8 pm; see Ely Center Facebook Event Page and NWCT Event Facebook Page. The show will be on view through April 5, 2018.
